REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not, please read this policy carefully. This policy is compliant with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of the Republic of South Africa.


1. RETURN WINDOW

You have 30 days from the date of receiving your item to request a return. After 30 days, unfortunately we cannot offer a return or exchange, except where the item is defective or does not comply with Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act.

2. ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURN

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be in the same condition in which you received it — unworn or unused.

  • The item must have all original tags attached.

  • The item must be in its original packaging.

  • You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your item back without first contacting us and receiving confirmation that your return has been accepted. Items sent back without prior authorisation will not be accepted.

If your return is accepted, we will provide you with a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package.

Please ensure the package is adequately packaged to prevent damage during transit.

5. DAMAGES AND DEFECTIVE ITEMS

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, you are entitled to return goods that are defective, unsafe, or not of acceptable quality within six (6) months of purchase and to receive a replacement, repair, or refund at your election.

6. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Certain items cannot be returned. These include:

  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants).

  • Custom or personalised products (such as special orders).

  • Personal care goods (such as beauty or hygiene products) that have been opened or used.

  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.

  • Items purchased on sale or at a discounted price (sale items are final).

  • Gift cards.

If you are unsure whether your specific item qualifies for a return, please contact us before initiating a return.

7. EXCHANGES

The fastest way to ensure you receive the item you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted and processed, please make a separate purchase for the replacement item.

8. EUROPEAN UNION (EU) CUSTOMERS

If goods are being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason and without justification. The item must be in the same condition as received — unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.

9. REFUNDS

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome of your refund request. If approved:

  • You will be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you have not received your refund, please contact us at info@almegatraders.co.za.

10. CPA RIGHTS

Nothing in this Refund & Returns Policy limits or waives any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable South African legislation.
